Born and raised in the DC Metropolitan area, Karen grew-up in the mortgage business with her mother, a well-respected mortgage banker of 35+ years who retired as an Underwriting Manager. Karen began her career in the industry at the age of 19 as a receptionist, then part of the operations team, while attending Radford University. Upon graduating in 2004, she became a Production Assistant to Countrywide's largest producing loan officer in the mid-Atlantic region. She quickly learned she really enjoyed helping families purchase homes and continued to move up the ranks, developing a wide breadth of experience at every turn. She went on to manage the Renovation Sales Team on a national level, and now with over 20 years in the business, Karen has developed strong foundations in all areas of residential lending. As Vice President and Area Manager, she is now one of Main Street Home Loans' leading Loan Originators. Her superior performance has earned her many accolades in her career to include President's Club, Leader's Club, Top Volume Production Team, Top Purchaser Volume Team and Top 1% of Originators nation-wide many years in a row. Karen is married to an active service member of the U.S. Military, and has two young boys and two teenage step-daughters.
